Dear Parents/Guardians,
We will be holding a chess after school club on Wednesday's starting Wednesday 22nd March 3-4pm. This is open for Primary 5, Primary 6 & Primary 7 children.
Why play chess?
"Chess training and practice supports the development of higher-order thinking skills—like problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, planning, and even creative thinking. Chess training and practice also helps improve general cognitive ability and scholastic achievement—especially in mathematics....it also develops competitive skills and is great fun!"
The club will run for a total of 8 weeks by Mr Liam Hegarty. The club costs a total of £16 and can be paid via parentpay.
