IMPORTANT INFORMATION for week beginning 15th & 22nd March 2021.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thank you for all your requests for supervision for your children. Nursery-Primary 3 children will be in school as normal. We are delighted to be able to support our Primary 4-Primary 7 children who have requested supervised learning. The application process is now closed, I cannot accept any late applications as we require time to plan. Unless I have contacted you regarding your application specifically, your child has been allocated a place. If your circumstances change within the week and you are able to keep your child at home, we suggest that you do so, and you email/ring the school to inform us on this. The safest thing we can do is stay at home.
A new request form will be released on Tuesday 23rd March for supervision week beginning Monday 29th March AND for Monday 12th April due to the Easter break. I would like to stress to only consider supervision in school for your child if no other options are available.
Children being supervised in school will have access to the same work which is being shared by the class teacher on seesaw if it is appropriate. Not all activities shared on Seesaw can be completed in school, therefore we ask that you still access Seesaw daily to ensure all activities are completed, especially reading.
Children being supervised in school should wear their full school uniform. They will require a healthy break and a packed lunch. Children should be dropped off at school at 8.45am. Children in P4-P7 being supervised should be picked up at 3pm each day, however they may go home early with a younger sibling.
The school is closed for all pupils on Wednesday 17th-Friday 19th March for the Feast Day of St. Patrick. Children in School should wear something green/non-uniform on Tuesday 16th March.
The school will be closed for Easter Monday 1st April-Friday 9th April.
Unfortunately it has not yet been confirmed if Primary 4-7 will be allowed to return to school after the Easter Holidays. I will keep you posted on this.
Nursery-Primary 3 children should follow all previous arrangements which were in place before Christmas.
- Children are not permitted in the school grounds before 8.45am.
- School gates will open at 8:45am
- P1-P3 parents should wait inside the school gates until their child is brought down at Home Time
- One adult to drop off and pick up children, please ensure social distancing
- PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST WEAR A MASK IN THE SCHOOL GROUNDS, unless medically exempt
- Please share this information with anyone who may be dropping off or picking up your child

Specific entry/exit doors will be used and we will continue with staggered opening times as well as home times. Social distancing should be followed and parents/guardians should wear a mask when inside the school grounds. Children are not permitted to bring school bags into school. They should wear their full school uniform, and bring a coat/hat.
Nursery children will be provided with a dinner as normal and should pay via parent pay, unless receiving free school meals.
Primary 1-3 children who are receipt of free school meals will also be offered dinner. All other children will require a packed lunch. Every child will need a healthy break.
Primary 4-7 children who are in school for supervised learning must bring a healthy break and a packed lunch as normal.
Children who are in school for supervised learning will now be organised into 2 bubbles; Primary 4&5 together and Primary 6&7 together to allow for appropriate staffing numbers. They will be in the Key Stage 2 area and should enter/exit the school via the top door at the right hand side. If a child is in school for supervised learning, they may leave early if they have a sibling attending in Nursery-Primary 3. Please ensure that your child informs the supervisory staff of this.
