Boys and Girls,
At this time of year, we would normally have been preparing for the annual Fan the Flame Mass which is celebrated for all the children in Year 7 in the Derry Diocese. It is always held in in Celtic Park and it is a very joyous occasion. We are so disappointed that this cannot take place this year.
However, Bishop McKeown has sent a special invitation for you and your family to join him, via webcam, on Thursday 4th June at 10am for a virtual Fan the Flame Mass, which he will celebrate from St. Eugene’s Cathedral.

It is a tradition that children in Year 7 design and wear their own T shirt for this occasion so it might be something that you might like to do.
We will also be sending home a ‘Reflective Journal’ in your June work pack to help you to prepare for the Fan the Flame Mass. It is a lovely booklet which will help you to think about your time at Primary School, all the friends you have made and all the experiences you have had and how your friend Jesus is always with you.
